New Pennies!!

I know it might sound nerdy but I love seeing new designs on our money. There will be 4 designs for the "tail" side that reflect different parts of Abraham Lincoln's life, and are being redesigned to commemorate the bicentennial of Honest Abe's birth…in other words – Happy 200th, Abraham!

I can imagine my kids saying, "Look Dad, I found a old 'Lincoln-Memorial' penny!". Well…maybe. There are so many of those suckers around (50-years worth) that I doubt they'll ever be gone. Anyways, here they are!

Current penny (duh)

"A penny design showing the Kentucky cabin where Abraham Lincoln was born and spent his early childhood"

"A penny design showing a young Abraham Lincoln educating himself while working as a rail splitter in Indiana"

"A penny design showing the young professional Abraham Lincoln in front of the Illinois Capitol"

"A penny design showing the half-finished United States Capitol in Washington, D.C."
