Marathon training update

Wow. Today was my longest run yet – 20 miles. I ran across town, from my place to my parents' house. (My dad was nice enough to drive me home...I made sure of that before I ran over there!) I did walk for part of the trip, though – up and down steep inclines or declines (those really mess up my knee if I run on them) and times when my knee had sharp pains while running. In fact, I couldn't run anymore for the last 3.5 miles or so – my knee and legs were so sore and tight! I have 3 weeks to recover and strengthen my knee and muscles (3 weeks from today!). I made sure to eat a lot yesterday so I'd have the energy to make it…and I did. Time now for some rest and reading. I have a feeling I'm going to be hurting tomorrow in my racquetball class (and less-so in golf).
